European Commission Opposes Excise Tax on E-Cigarettes and Heat-Not-Burn Tobacco Products, for Now

EU diplomats have been expressing their desire to set excise taxes for electronic cigarettes and heat-not-burn tobacco products ever since 2016, when they unanimously agreed to call on the European Commission to come up with a proposal on the best way to tax these products. However, in a recent report to the EU Council, the Commission opposed the harmonized taxation of e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn tobacco products until more information becomes available.

After Making E-Liquids More Expensive Than Cigarettes, Italy Prepares to Tax E-Liquid Ingredients As Well

I've long referred to Italy as an example of how excessive taxation can destroy the vaping industry, but even I could never have imagined how far the European state could go to achieve its sinister goal. After adopting new tax laws that make e-liquid refills more expensive that packs of tobacco cigarettes, Italy will...

Study Suggesting That Vaping Is a Gateway to Smoking Omits Critical Information

A recently-published study from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) claiming that non-smoking adolescents who use e-cigarettes and alternative forms of tobacco are more likely to start smoking conventional cigarettes has been called out for failing to present important information. The study, co-authored by Benjamin W. Chaffee, an assistant professor at the UCSF School of...

Desire Mad Dog RDA V2 Review

single_review

The original Mad Dog RDA was one of the sleeper hits of last year, gaining a lot of popularity within the vaping community even without any sort of real promotion from Desire, a relatively unknown Chinese manufacturer. NCR Nicotine Reinforcer RDA Review

single_review

The NCR Nicotine Reinforcer RDA is one of the most innovative atomizers I've ever seen, but it's also a perfect example of why innovation isn't necessarily a good thing. This is basically a coil-less RDA which replaces the usual metallic heating element with one made of aluminum nitride (AIN), a ceramic material with very high thermal conductivity. The company claims that each AIN "waffer" (small plate) is good for around 600,000 heating cycles, so you don't have to worry...

Vapeman Steam Engine Review

single_review

I've always been a fan of the Steampunk genre, so when presented with the opportunity of reviewing the Vapeman Steam Engine mod, I knew I couldn't pass it up. In my opinion, this is the best-looking mass-produced steampunk-themed vaporizer money can buy. You can probably find some better custom mods out there, but as far as mass-produced devices go, nothing even come close to the Steam Engine. And it's powered by Evolv's tried-and-true DNA 75 chipset, which got me even more...
